Andrew Wendling is a multidisciplinary designer and art director with 12+ years of design experience. He studied graphic/digital design at Philadelphia University, graduating with honors in 2006.
Currently based in San Francisco, he is a lead designer at Thumbtack - which was recently recognized as one of the World’s Most Innovative Companies. Most recently he helped to lead a comprehensive rebrand of Thumbtack - the first in the company’s history. Other recent achievements at Thumbtack include art directing national TV spots and designing the customer-facing homepage.
Prior to Thumbtack, Andrew has worked at world-class creative companies based in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco, including Big Spaceship, Code & Theory, AKQA, and Chapter. Past clients include Nike, Red Bull, Converse, Facebook, Twitter, Pop-Up Magazine, Anheuser Busch, NVIDIA, Silent Circle, Sprint, Autodesk, New Relic, The Weather Channel, Target, Visa, Toyota, & UFC.
Throughout his career, he’s had the privilege of working on projects and teams recognized by industry-leading competitions such as D&AD, One Show, Communication Arts, Effie Awards, New York Festivals, Pixel Awards, Adobe Max, The Webby Awards, and FWA. His work has been featured on Under Consideration, Fast Company, Forbes, & PSFK.
